Cadillac Police Department Police Officer Openings
The Cadillac Civil Service Commission will conduct a written examination to hire full-time Police Officers for the Cadillac Police Department on August 28, 2019. The starting pay for this police officer position is $47,251 with full benefits, including pension.
The Cadillac Police Department offers a wide range of police services to their community. The department coordinates the City’s Code Enforcement and Downtown Parking Program. The department’s mission is to enforce the laws of the State of Michigan and ordinances of the City of Cadillac, protect the community from harm, and uphold the Constitution of the United States; enhance the quality of life and feeling of safety in the community through exceptional service, crime prevention, problem solving, and intervention; and exhibit professionalism, integrity, and courtesy while respecting the rights and dignity of all persons.
The purpose of the written examination is to establish an eligibility list to fill the department’s current vacancies. The exam will take place on Wednesday, August 28 at 6 p.m. Location and exam details will be provided to eligible candidates only.
To become an eligible candidate, interested applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- MCOLES certified or certifiable
