REDFORD LATERAL POLICE OFFICER POSITION OPENINGS

The Redford Township is seeking qualified, lateral applicants for the full-time Police Officer positions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Current Police Officer

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Lateral hires are credited for each full year of service at a previous agency:
    • 1 year: $57,820
    • 2 years: $62,525
    • 3 years: $67,373
    • 4 years: $74,176
    • Top Pay: $77,929 (4/1/25)
  • $4,500 Bonus Pay each year, 2023-2024.
  • 3% Yearly Incentive Pay.
  • Gun & Uniform Allowances: $1,000 each.
  • 26 Vacation Days, 4 Personal Days, Sick Days, and Paid Holidays.
  • Defined Benefit Pension w/ 5% contribution; 2.5% multiplier after 25 years.
  • Deferred Retirement Option Plan (D.R.O.P.)
  • Medical/Dental/Vision Coverage.
  • College Tuition Reimbursement.
  • 12-Hour Shifts; 2-week cycle (5 and 2.)
  • Retirement HSA, employee 1.5%, Township match 1.5%.
  • A $4,000 Police Academy Reimbursement.
