Richfield Township Public Safety is currently seeking a highly motivated, service-driven, and community-oriented individual for the full-time Public Safety Officer position.
This is a fully blended public safety role that combines law enforcement, fire suppression, and emergency medical response.
Saint Helen is an active Northern Michigan community of approximately 3,700 residents. Richfield Township Public Safety patrols 72 square miles for law enforcement and 108 square miles for Fire and EMS. Located near Exit 222 on I-75, the area offers year-round recreational opportunities, including boating, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, biking, and off-road vehicle activities.

Requirements for a Richfield Township Public Safety Officer
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Have no felony convictions or disqualifying criminal and/or unethical history
- Successfully complete interview(s), a background investigation, physical examination, psychological evaluation, and drug screening
- Possess Fire Certification 1 and 2, or be willing to attend agency-funded training
- Be willing to relocate to the community
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess EMS license
