Job Description
This position will require applicants to provide security at the Monroe County Courthouse, including ensuring it is a weapon-free facility. Courthouse Security Officers will monitor and screen persons entering the courthouse.
Courthouse Security Officers are specialized professionals tasked with protecting courthouse visitors, litigants, jurors, witnesses and employees assigned to the courthouse through weapon screening, while exhibiting the highest degree of vigilance and professional customer service.
You will also be required to coordinate with court bailiffs regarding daily activities of the facility and court operations and safety. Courthouse Security Officers also serve as an emergency preparedness coordinator; assisting management to proactively develop plans to secure the courthouse during emergencies that may rise.
Work Schedule & Pay
- 2 – 3 days per week
- 9.5 hour shifts
- $20 per hour
- No benefits, as this job is part-time
