Register for the Basic Crime Scene Photography training Course

Tritech Forensics is hosting a 40-hour Crime Scene Photography course. The course includes instruction that permits students to document evidence and scenes professionally and successfully. Beginning of the course cover instruction of basic photographic techniques, such as the mechanics of exposure, depth-of-field, and motion control. Camera handling and operation are stressed in all areas, including camera controls and how they work. Electronic flash techniques are also presented with a nighttime Painting-With-Light Exercise included.

The course sponsor, Tritech, can work with participating agencies to help secure 302 funds and MCOLES certification for the course.

The course will be led by instructor Matthew Steiner. Matthew is a First Grade Detective with the New York City Police Department’s Crime Scene Unit with over nineteen years of experience as a crime scene investigator. He teaches several courses with city, state, and federal government students. He also works internationally with the U.S. Department of State’s Antiterrorism Assistance Program teaching a Terrorist Crime Scene Investigations course, and has an extensive background in forensics work.
