Department of The Attorney General Law Enforcement Training
The State of Michigan Attorney General’s Office is hosting two free educational training events, “Conducting Abuse & Neglect Investigations.” This training allows law enforcement officials and attorneys to effectively investigate abuse and neglect complaints in residential care settings such as nursing homes, adult foster care homes, and more. Attendees will learn how to identify signs of possible criminal abuse, the proper methods of evidence gathering, the regulatory framework, applicable legal tools and offenses, and more to address these complaints.

Date: Monday, November 6, 2023 Law enforcement officials interested in attending the Conducting Abuse & Neglect Investigations training events must register online. Please provide your contact information, agency affiliation and position information, and the county and city you work in. Registration is required for attendance at this event with a maximum number of attendees is 100 – please register early to reserve your seat.
