Michigan State Police have released video from the dash camera showing parts of the three-county pursuit that resulted in the deaths of Walker Police Officer Trevor Slot and the two suspects of a bank robbery.
After Kristopher Cheyne and Derryl Lafave robbed a bank, they fled the police and fired shots at officers. WZZM reported that the suspects exited the highway at the same exit Officer Slot was laying down stop sticks to end the pursuit. The Ottawa County Prosecutor said the officers involved with the suspects’ deaths were justified in the action they took.
