Attention Wayne County Deputies:
Although the current contract doesn’t expire until September 30th, 2016, it does contain a wage and pensioner reopener. However, these two reopeners expired on September 14th, 2014. The Union has been in negotiations with the County in regards to these two issues. Negotiations have taken place, and if an agreement is not reached, the county could impose whatever demands they wish upon wages and pension. Please read the following document to see what is required of you. The new contract has no reopeners and cannot be changed during its term under consent agreement.

What actually goes into affect 10/01/15 if this TA is voted in, just the 5% wage increase and the reduction of the multiplier? Will we be offered a flex spending account to cover additional medical costs or is that something I have to get on my own? With the new medical coverage and expenses, it only seems like the responsible thing to do. Please advise…
