Men Wear Pink Fundraiser
The American Cancer Society is dedicated to a breast cancer-free future with the help of local communities and their fundraising efforts. One such fundraiser is the nationwide Men Wear Pink campaign. Individuals can nominate a leader from their community or themselves to join us in this endeavor. Nominations are made online, and a team member will contact the nominee to gather additional information.
Men Wear Pink representatives commit to the following:
- Wear the color pink throughout the entire month of October.
- Use their social media presence to spread awareness about this critical cause.
- Engage in fundraising activities for the American Cancer Society, with a target minimum of $2,500.

Learn More About the Campaign
Since its founding, the Men Wear Pink initiative has generated over $40 million in funds. These funds drive essential resources, including a 24/7 helpline for guidance and assistance, groundbreaking breast cancer research, and a host of other vital initiatives. In 2020, female breast cancer surpassed lung cancer as the most commonly diagnosed cancer worldwide. Despite this, the death rate from breast cancer dropped by 41% from 1989 to 2018 as a result of earlier detection through increased awareness and mammography screening, as well as advances in treatments. And today the American Cancer Society celebrates more than 3.8 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S. including those who completed treatment and those still undergoing treatment.
Lead the change and have your police department get involved by participating in one of the Men Wear Pink campaigns across Michigan!
