Harper Strong Fundraiser
An Ann Arbor officer’s daughter, Harper Mathis, has been fighting Medulloblastoma (brain cancer) since July 2020. She is a relentless fighter and has endured months and months of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment. Just three months ago, Harper received a clear MRI. Unfortunately, a couple of weeks ago during a routine MRI, the doctors found that her cancer had returned with a vengeance in another part of her brain.
Sadly, these tumors are inoperable and will require a different treatment plan than previously used. The family is now looking into potential clinical trials both in and out of the U.S., so the immediate treatment plan is still unknown but needs urgent support.
The Mathis family has an incredible fight ahead of them. Both parents, Justin and Shellie, will be off of work indefinitely as they navigate this long road and seek treatment for Harper. One of the greatest needs will be financial support. To help remove some burden from the family in this difficult time, a fundraiser has been planned for June 10th for the Harper Strong Fundraiser so the Mathis family can concentrate on Harper’s treatment and have access to every resource possible.
