ALL POAM MEMBERS:
The Association has received notification from the Detroit Public School District Division of Human Resources that Effective October 18, 2013 the School District will no longer be deducting union dues from the member’s paychecks. They are taking that position due to House Bill 4929 (Public Act 53 of 2012)
Therefore, in order to receive CONTINUED REPRESENTATION, the members will have to send their union dues directly to the POAM. You will be receiving and individual statement via email each month. Please note that you must be a dues paying member in order to be in the POAM’s EXTENDED LEGAL REPRESENTATION PROGRAM. Please contact John Barr at the POAM office for any further information.
