The Police Beat Southern California Jury Convicted Man In Booby Trap Police Attacks

On October 8th, a Southern California jury found Nicholas Smit guilty of four counts of attempted murder of a police officer in booby trap attacks. The attacks were orchestrated against the same Hemet police detective who arrested Smit on drug charges in 2009. Smit will be sentenced to multiple life terms in prison along with 11 felonies, including conspiracy and assembling a booby trap.
