Officer Jeremy Henwood of the San Diego Police was recently killed in the line of duty, shot in his patrol car. He was last seen on a McDonald’s security camera shortly before the unprovoked attack. What’s most poignant is what Officer Henwood did in the video.

He is seen talking to a child (a 13-year-old) in the McDonald’s, and then buys the boy a cookie. The boy had come up to him to ask him about his job.

There are no words, really. The video speaks for itself, and for Officer Henwood’s final, gracious act.
