POAM has been and is in the process of meeting with state representatives, senators and the governor’s office. POAM is working on your behalf and standing up for our core principles. At this point, no legislation has been introduced. However, we anticipating legislation to be introduced as early as next week.

When the time is correct to start contacting your elected officials, we will advise and provide you clear and concise talking points to share. This is currently a work in progress by your elected representatives. POAM has your back as we are communicating with legislators and aggressively engaging at the State Capitol.

We made many economic concessions during contract negotiations over the years to maintain health insurance coverage for active and retired employees. If a bill is passed that negatively impacts our health care we need to actively look at who is representing us in Lansing and make changes.
