Statement Regarding Wayne County Deputy Sheriff’s Association
It has come to our attention that statements circulating on social media reference an alleged endorsement and include an image of the POAM logo that appears to have been altered or used without authorization. POAM did not approve the use of its logo, name, or likeness for any endorsement letter, and any such use should not be presumed to represent the position of this Association.
POAM has not issued any official endorsement in this matter.
While POAM values and respects its relationship with the WCDSA, the use of the POAM logo or implication of an endorsement without the express written permission of the Association is inappropriate and unauthorized. No endorsement should be inferred absent formal approval by POAM leadership.
POAM takes the integrity of its name, brand, and member representation seriously and expects all parties to do the same.
