FDNY Tim Brown: Interview With Koncrete Podcast

While traveling the election circuit with gubernatorial candidate Dick DeVos in 2006, I had the opportunity to meet with Rudy Giuliani, who was planning a presidential candidacy for 2008.  After one of the tour stops, I was waved down by one of Giuliani’s aid, FDNY Tim Brown.

Sometimes you just know there is a personal connection when you meet a person. Tim and I became fast friends. I refer to him as my “blood brother.” I can’t imagine being closer to or more comfortable speaking personally with anyone. It’s like we knew each other all our lives. It just took luck to cross paths.

Tim is a survivor of the terrorist attacks that took place on 9/11/2001. He has been my guest at the POAM convention a few times (and will again, I hope!)

If you listen to the podcast, where he is the focus of the discussion, you will hear things you never imagined or read from that day. And you will hear from my “blood brother,” Tim Brown.  We affectionately refer to each other as “copper” and “FF’er.”  Give “FF’er” some of your time, and you’ll know why he and I only need a quiet place and a bottle of whiskey to keep each other company. A true friend forever.
