On Sunday evening, January 26th, 2026, a social media post was shared by POAM’s vendor without our prior review or authorization. After being made aware of the post, it was immediately removed.
We recognize the language used in the post was inflammatory and want to be clear, it does not reflect POAM’s values or positions as an organization.
Already, we have implemented changes to our internal review and approval processes to prevent a recurrence. The vendor staff member responsible for the post has been dealt with and removed from these duties.
POAM is proud of its bipartisan work and the trust we have built with legislators on both sides of the aisle. Maintaining trust requires constant effort and accountability, and this post fell short. We sincerely apologize.
