Elite Detection K9 is looking for host families to foster their breeding stock moms. The security and protection of their dogs depend on volunteer families who provide foster homes for breeding stock moms.
Elite Detection K9 was founded on the belief that everyone, wherever they may go, should feel safe and protected at all times. By adopting the practices of their 80-year-old parent company, Leader Dogs for the Blind, they have the knowledge and expertise to breed, raise, and train superior scent-detection Labradors and other working breeds. This allows them to provide security for businesses, schools, public venues, and more.
Breeding stock dogs are chosen based on their lineage, health, and temperament. Simply put, these moms could make excellent scent-detection dogs themselves.
Become an Elite Detection K9 Host Family
To protect our great country, consider becoming a breeding stock host. Not only will you and your family have fun volunteering, but you’ll also get a sense of pride knowing you’re contributing to the future safety of communities across our nation.
No Experience Necessary
All host families receive the following support from Elite Detection K9:
- Guidance through whelping (or birthing)
- Complimentary boarding when you go on vacation (during the breeding life of the dog)
- Quarterly educational meetings where you’ll meet other breeding host homes
- The option to adopt the mom after she retires (usually at four years of age or four litters)
