It’s the time of year again! It’s time to send in your nominations for Police Officer of the Year!

Day in and day out, Police Officers have to face some of the worst situations any human could experience. It’s in these situations that their true character traits comes out – honorable and brave. Because of this POAM honors those officers who have gone above and beyond every year.

To nominate a deserving individual, you may call the POAM office at 313-937-9000, contact your local business agent, or your POAM Union President.

Garden City Police Officer Ronald Kozloff

On April 2, 2010, Officer Kozloff placed his own life in jeopardy to stop a man after it was reported that he had a gun. The suspect led Office Kozloff on a seven-mile chase and took his own life after a exchanging shots with the Officer. Read the entire story HERE.

Westland Police Officers Robert Fruit and Cameron Sleep Westland Police Sergeant Norman Brooks
