In recent tragic events, Detroit Police Department’s Captain Kenneth Steil and Corporal Myron Jarrett, and Wayne State University Police K9 Officer Collin Rose, have lose their lives in the line of duty. These three heroes had accomplished careers in law enforcement that were cut short with senseless violence, and the Michigan Warriors will pay their respects by taking the ice with the Detroit Police Department Hockey Team. Detroit Police Department Chief James Craig and top Detroit city officials are expected to be in attendance.

To honor the lives of these Law Enforcement Officers, the Disabled Veterans of the Warriors and DPD Hockey Team will lace up together for the first time in the history of the Warriors. Event Organizer, Michigan Warriors’ Chief of Program Operations, Chris Hervey said, “As Veterans who fought for the freedoms we have in this country, those freedoms would not be cherished without those Law Enforcement Officers who maintain and protect the integrity of our Constitution. For us as Veterans who served, it is now our honor to Thank and Remember those who serve at home for us.”

The Michigan Warriors will be donating all proceeds of this event to the families of these fallen LEOs.
