Law Enforcement Legislative Updates Defending Detroit’s Pensioners

Attorney General Bill Schuette urged the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals for an accelerated decision as to whether Michigan’s constitution protects pensions in Detroit’s bankruptcy case. The Attorney General has made it be known that he will adamantly defend the constitution throughout the remainder of the bankruptcy proceedings. Schuette says, he wants to “vindicate” the states constitution.
