Why doesnt our state do that? If I were in charge they wouldnt even get a hot meal. It costs a lot more to prepare hot meals than cold, more labor, energy to heat the food and more dishes. Why not lay out a loaf of bread, lunchmeat, ketchup and mustard. Then give them a choice between a slice of cheese for a glass of milk to get their dairy. Give them an apple for their fruit since they are cheap in Michigan. then serve whatever vegetables they can grow in the gardens that they tend...or would tend if I were in charge and serve it raw (pretend it's part of a relish tray at Christmas time). If they didnt want to grow a garden then they could go without. You see, no labor costs, no energy, no dished to wash or paper plates to buy..just a cup for their drink and you could just give them all a tin cup that they have to reuse and wash themselves. I would not have any libraries or free college...afterall, the government didnt give me a free college education and I'm a good tax paying citizen! If they want to have a television to watch then they have to work and earn a meager wage to pay for it just like the rest of us on the outside. Yeh, too bad they wont let me take over...
