MERC has counted the ballots and POAM won a resounding victory, securing 75% of the ballots cast.  However, SEIU has not yet withdrawn it’s bogus unfair labor practice charge against the county.  Official certification will not take place until that issue goes away.  SEIU must present or withdraw it’s case on December 19.  I will keep you posted

Please post any suggested ideas or topics that you might have for the next POAM Semiar in June, 2009.  We have already heard that a detailed class on political involvement, endorsements, PAC Spending, etc. would be beneficial.  Any suggestions can be posted right here on the blog, feel free to leave a comment with your ideas.
